I hope this post gets me on the list
Republicans:
Some are mean...
Some are corrupt...
Some are just plain crazy
First it was Pat Roberson calling the wrath of God down on Dover, PA.
Now Bill O'Reilly has flipped out beyond imagination. A pretty tough feat considering he has claimed that his boycott of France had totally wrecked their economy; has insulted and abused a 9/11 victim's family; has continued to sexually harass his radio co-host after settling a sexual harassment law suite with a former producer at his TV show.
Earlier this week he invited terrorist to attack our country's most beautiful city-San Francisco-and destroy a monument to it's firefighters. But that's not the end of the story. After several bloggers took exception to this, he announced on his radio show that he would be posting a McCarthy-style enemies list on his website.
I hope this post gets me on the list.

Q: How can we downplay the Plame case indictments that are expected soon?
You couldn't make up stuff like this. Bush nominee attacked by conservatives?
Will this trump the Fitzgerald indictment for the front page?
Stay tuned....

New Talking Point: Blame the Messenger
1. We're not playing the blame-game
2.But if we were finger-pointing it would be toward local and state authorities
3.Or the victims
4.Oh yeah...we almost forgot to blame the media.

Texas Jammerfest
Seaweed covered the beaches but that didn't stop us from having a mid-morning beach party complete with rum swizzles, pain killers and various other refreshments not usually associated with mid-morning. There's a trip report from Tom on the Windjammer Flotilla. (scroll down 'til you see the word "WOW".)
There are pictures here and here. A third set is coming soon we hope.

Friday 4:30 Story
White House calls it isolated incidents and Scott McClellan still hasn't retracted his assertion that Newsweek is the major cause of instability in the Muslim world.
Nice headline in the story below, huh? The story is about the abuse but the headline focuses on the the White House downplaying the report.

Yoda Fu part 2

I guess we knew all along that Yoda would get his ass kicked and have to go into exile but I was still disappointed. Chewbacca wasn’t on screen long enough to be worthwhile let alone eat a Filet O’ Jar Jar sandwich. The opening scene was cool with the rescue of Palpatine in the middle of the space battle.
Not enough: Chewbacca, Darth Vader (in costume with James Earl Jones' voice)
Too Much-Anakin/Padme dialog (I laughed out loud at one point. Maybe it was meant to be a comedy?)
Over all- Didn’t suck
Best of the Prequels but that's not saying much.

Yoda-Fu

So far I've heard that it doesn't suck although it doesn't rock either. I still haven't heard whether Chewbacca has roast JarJar for dinner or not. Feel free to post your opinion in the comments. But I'll allow only 3 ratings:
sucked
didn't suck
rocked.
In my opinion that's the only thing anyone needs to know about a movie.

Media Matters story here
and in a rebuttal to Media Matters here's a story from The Nation. Though is critical of the MM story it still makes the point that like him or not Isikoff has gone after all kinds of public officials regardless of party or idealogy.
